The first see-through airplane

Airbus has unveiled a brand new concept of their futuristic plane design targeted at the sophisticated travellers of 2050.

The new aircraft design is inspired by nature and mimics the structure of birds, and has walls that can become completely transparent exposing an un-obstructed view of the surroundings during flight, according to a media release by Airbus.

No more fighting for the window seat!

Business class and economy have been replaced with ‘personalized zones’, each catering to the unique requirements of passengers.

Amenities on-board allow you to join an interactive conference, enjoy a game of virtual golf, read the kids back home a bedtime story, and recharge in a ‘vitalising seat’ that morphs to your body shape.

“Our research shows that passengers of 2050 will expect a seamless travel experience while also caring for the environment,” Charles Champion, Airbus Executive Vice President Engineering was quoted saying in a media release from the company.

The company hopes advances in technologies will allow the cabin to be 100% recyclable. The design also leverages passenger body heat to power certain features.
