In conjunction with announcing its title sponsorship of charity cyclathon the Great British Bike Ride, Lexus is once again promoting its hybrid bicycle concept.
Originally unveiled at the 2009 Tokyo motor show, the hybrid bicycle is made of carbon-fibre and is propelled - in addition to pedals - by a 240W electric motor with a 25.9V lithium-ion battery. The battery has both an
Eco and Power mode and is partially recharged by energy collected during braking.
The bike also sports an electric eight-speed transmission and two-wheel drive capability.
At present, it is not slated for production.
